Computer Repaired!
My computer has been restored to full workingness by Dad. He poked around inside it for a while and then found that my primary IDE cable was a little loose. He pulled it out and forced it back in. For some reason, it was a really really tight fit. Then he booted the computer and voila! it worked. Yes!
